Effective Resource Management
In order to be able to meet the needs and well being of the family, certain management strategies need to be proposed between the parents or carer in order for the managing of the family to be efficient. to do this you need to have time, energy, finances and housing planned out to meet the physical, socieoemotional, spiritual, economic and political wellbeing met.
Time: You need to plan out certain tasks between you and your partner as well as the family. This includes task scheduling, synchronising, allocating and redetermining household standards. You also need to organise and allocate how these certain tasks will be completed in a timely manner. Then you will need to put your planning and organising into action to evaluate how well your strategy has worked out. this will help guide you with making future decisions with time and what you could do to make completing tasks easier.
E.g. 2 full time working parents with 1 child.
Plan: parents could organise to take up shift work where one works in the day and other works out night. If not there is option of hiring a nanny or putting child either in day care or with trustable family member.
Organise: Setting goals is very necessary. Both partners should organise duties amongst themselves with who does what, where, when and how they manage it. also if able to both partners should get their work scheduled at a time where they both have a day of on the same day so that their is some family time and better support from one another.
.e.g. one could mind the child at home while the other is at work. This allows for the stay at home partner to get any completed house work done, leaving the evening task for the other partner when they get home also minding the child.
Synchronising is also a great way to get things done on timely manner. e.g the mother or father could put the washing on while they get the baby washed up. also another way is when the baby is sleep it allows some time to get any other home tasks completed as well as some relax time for the individual.
Shopping can be done in the days of and also once or twice a week.
Implementing and evaluating: In order to evaluate, these set goals should be put into action and achieved. If these goals are met then this indicates that your planning has worked. if goals are not met not met, this gives an opportunity to make new goals and set tasks.
